Dear PSO Principals,

As we finish out the last few weeks of school, all of us here at the FHI 360 PSO want to congratulate you on another year of success, and honor the commitment, expertise and energy you bring to this work and to the PSO. It has been our pleasure to work with you, whether in your schools, at our meetings, or during our retreats.

We want to give a special thanks to the Principals who supported their teachers’ and students’ involvement in the Youth Create Media Project. Participating schools included The New School for Leadership and the Arts, MS 256 Academic & Athletic Excellence, The Science and Medicine Middle School, Cypress Hills Community School, Middle School 254, and KAPPA IV. The Final Screening, which took place on May 24 at the New School University, shined a light on the creativity, vision and spirit of the young people in these schools, and presented fresh perspectives on the importance of community, space, relationships and identity. The event brought together nearly 40 students and their families, alongside their teachers and school leaders, who participated in a conversation about the making of the films after the screening. Cupcakes were had by all.

So as we enter the summer months, and dive in to planning for next year, the FHI 360 PSO expresses gratitude and appreciation for your continued dedication to the academic, social and emotional development of your students.
