Assistance for Haiti

Dear AED Colleagues,

According to one of our staff members in Haiti, the devastation there is overwhelming. We are trying to confirm that all our staff are safe.

Through the New Partners Initiative in the AED Center on AIDS and Community Health, we work with three local health services partners in Haiti—Serve Haiti, World Hope International, and Cross International.

AED will contribute to the relief effort with a goal of sending the funds to these organizations. We are trying to determine whether they are in a position to accept them, and if so, we will gladly forward contributions from staff. If you would like to do this, please bring/send donations to Mary Maguire, our sr. vp and director of communications, and make the check payable to AED.

If you would like to contribute immediately, Charity Navigator has compiled a list of organizations working in Haiti which have four-star CN ratings http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?keyword_list=haiti&Submit2=GO&bay=search.results

Thank you for your support of the people of Haiti.

Steve
